Before...

Before I met you,

There was the sun,

Tearing the darkness apart

With its razor

Of light

And bleeding

The sky

And the space

With bright warm colours,

Awakening the day

From its murky sleep

And dyeing,

Slowly,

The small dew pearls

That decorate,

Subtly,

The fragile petals

Asleep in the fields…

Before I met you

I already existed,

For sure,

And my eyes

Had already seen the world

Around me,

But not the way

They see it now…

Before I met you

I was water,

But not the sea,

I was light,

But not the sun,

I was shade,

But not the night,

I was sound,

But not the music, 

I was as fragile as glass…

But then

I became as strong as diamond…
